This was my very first WeVideo project. I was fortunate enough to get a professional photographer to film my parts which is why the video looks so polished. I was really proud of the product. Having used gamification for several months, however, I would add more explanation and more game elements into the video.

As the game has continued in my classroom, I am recruiting various staff members to pitch various quests that my students can pursue. I am trying to connect standard activities into the game. For example, this quest involves Platinum Eagles which is something that is standard practice at our school. My principal graciously allowed me to put him on the spot and film him.

Explore Like a Pirate -- Great resource for turning your class (or unit) into a video game. Weekly twitter chats on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. (pst) with #xplap. Website has resources such as a tracking spreadsheet (which I bought and use) to organize how students earn XP and level up.

Alice Keeler is known as a Google Classroom guru, but also has embraced gamification. She has instructions not only on how to start gamifying your class, but how to create digital badges. Her information shows you how to utilize Google Sheets to create everything you need in a gamified class.
